The competition will be held at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Lincoln, Nebraska. Please contact the hotel directly for room reservations. The phone number for the Embassy Suites Hotel is (402) 474-1111. Make sure to tell reservations that you are a part of the New Ventures World Competition to get in the reserved block of rooms. The hotel is located at 1040 P Street, Lincoln, Nebraska. Hotel room prices are $134.00 per room, per night (based on 1-2 people), plus 12% tax.
The deadline for hotel reservations through Embassy Suites is March 5, 2009.
Lincoln's airport is located within 15 minutes of the Embassy Suites Hotel. The hotel offers complimentary shuttle service from the Lincoln airport. Omaha's airport is about 70 minutes from the hotel. The OmaLink Shuttle service has a regular stop at the hotel. Their times are available on their Web site www.omalink.com. You can also contact them by phone at (877) 473-LINK (4565). If you require assistance in making your flight arrangements, you may contact Travel & Transport at 1-800-228-4395. Make sure the bill is sent directly to your organization or pay with a credit card for your team's flight arrangements. When making any transportation arrangements, please identify yourself as attending the New Ventures World Competition in order to receive any discounts. Please DO NOT reserve your flight until you have received confirmation that your team will be competing. Advisors will be notified by 5:00 pm (CST) on Monday, February 2, 2009.
Audio/visual equipment will be available in each competition room and will include a screen, laptop and LCD projector, provided at no expense to your team. The computers are equipped with Microsoft PowerPoint. We recommend that you bring presentations to the competition in multiple forms (i.e. flash drive, CD, etc.). If you wish to use your own laptop, feel free to do so. If your presentation requires sound, you must provide the equipment necessary to do so (the computers are equipped with a basic headphone jack). Other equipment is available through the hotel for a fee. Please e-mail your requests to for a price quote.
