Farm Credit Service Scholarship

Farm Credit Services of America will be awarding three $2000 scholarships ($1000 ea. semester) to UNL students for the 2006-2007 academic year.

How To Apply

Students who meet the selection criteria should complete Farm Credit Services of America's Scholarship Application and write a one to two page essay explaining their career plans following graduation. A link to the application is at the bottom of this page.

After the winners are determined, they are notified by a letter from Farm Credit Services of America that a $500 payment will be sent to the university in the spring and $500 in the fall. When these payments are made, the students will be notified. Submit Applications and Essays by March 1st.

Selection Criteria

• Junior or Senior in standing for the academic year scholarship is received.
• Enrolled in the College of Business Administration with course work emphasis in Agribusiness, Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• Cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0.
• Resident of Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota or Wyoming.
• 1-2 page essay on how they plan to use their major in their career field (which must be in an ag business related field).
• Agricultural background or work related experience in agriculture.
