CPCU Scholarship Qualification Criteria

The applicant must:

1. Be a full-time student in the College of Business Administration.
2. Have completed at least one property and casualty insurance course.
3. Be of sophomore, junior, senior or graduate standing.
4. Have demonstrated academic ability.
5. Have an interest in pursuing a career in the field of property and casualty insurance.

Other facts considered by the scholarship committee in the selection process:

1. An assessment of the probability that the student will actually enter the P & C field upon graduation.
2. The professional image demonstrated by the applicant (i.e. typed versus handwritten application, completeness of the application, resume attached, etc.).
3. Financial need.
