Transferring Credit
The first rule in transferring credit from one institution to another is to plan ahead. Be sure that the credit will transfer and meet your requirements before you start your course.
Another important rule is to be sure that you have official transcripts sent to UNL after your course is completed. Transcripts should be sent directly to the Admissions Office.
Inter-Campus Enrollment Form: valid for one enrollment period.
Quarter System- Be sure to check the type of hours that your institution uses. Quarter hours are only worth 2/3 of a semester hour. Also watch the start and end dates of the session.
Transfer Limits- You may transfer up to 66 hours of credit from 2 year U.S. institutions and Foreign institutions. Similarly you may only transfer 98 hours from four year U.S. institutions. The ability to transfer a course does not mean that it will fulfill a requirement.
50% Rule- You may not transfer more than fifty percent of your courses in Modules 3, 4, 5, & 6 combined. You may also not transfer more than 50% of Module 4 or 50% of Module 5.
Residency Rule- Thirty of your last thirty-six hours must be taken on campus.
