Department Graduate Awards

The faculty of the Marketing Department present graduate students awards for contributions to the department during the academic year.

The Graduate Teaching Award is presented to a graduate student who is at least in their second year. Criteria for this award include teaching evaluations, course structure and overall contributions to students.

The Graduate Research Award is presented to a graduate student based upon their research productivity. Criteria for this award are the number of publications in journals and research presentations at national and international conferences.

The Baker Service Award is presented to a graduate student, which is voted on not only by the faculty, but with feedback from fellow doctoral students and staff members. The service award is presented to the graduate student who is the best "departmental citizen," who supports their fellow students, participates actively in hosting the Nebraska Doctoral Symposium and participates actively in the doctoral student group.

2006-2007 Graduate Student Awards recipients were:

  • Mike Krush, Baker Award for Excellence in Service
