Our current IS and IS-related faculty members emphasize the aforementioned research and teaching agenda -- conceptual foundation, electronic business/electronic commerce, knowledge management, enterprise integration, global/strategic management orientation, and close interactions with industry.
Our MIS program currently attracts high quality students from Nebraska, other states and foreign countries. We also have a high percentage of international students in our MIS programs. This provides an excellent opportunity for the students to understand and appreciate the use of IT in different countries and allows for cross-fertilization of ideas.
We have advanced and state-of-the-art computing facility in CBA, and we have close collaboration with many IT companies such as IBM and Microsoft. The UNL-IBM Global Innovation Hub has more than 2 million dollars worth of hardware and software license contracts with top software companies.
