Mission Statement

As part of a land grant university, the Department of Economics Strives toward excellence in teaching, research, and service. The faculty grant bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees in economics and provide economics courses to students throughout the University and the State. The faculty pursue their scholarly inquiries through observations and analysis of human behavior as it relates to production, consumption, and exchange. The results of this research are disseminated orally and literally. The faculty participate in the governance of the university and render professional service at the local, sate, federal, and international levels.
