Waiver Program for Nebraska High Schools

Procedures, Agreement and Application Form

Welcome to the Computer Proficiency Waiver Program for Nebraska High Schools. Please read the following procedures and agreement carefully before filling out the application.

This cooperative program between Nebraska High Schools and the College of Business Administration at UNL is designed to allow high school juniors and seniors who intend on enrolling at CBA within one year of graduation to fulfill the computer proficiency requirement while in high school.

Procedures:

One business teacher per school building can register for the Waiver Program by filling out the Waiver Application.

Submission of the Waiver Application constitutes the school's agreement to the terms and conditions of the Agreement below.

Upon approval of the application, an email will be sent to the representative of each school providing procedural information and logon information to access the Business Administration 150 website.

The Business Administration 150 website will provide access to the current exams, an online form for submitting statistical information, and other information.

Agreement:

We are interested in participating in the cooperative waiver program for Business Administration 150 with UNL's College of Business Administration. We have high school juniors and seniors who plan on attending UNL and enrolling in the College of Business Administration within one year of their graduation from our high school. We understand that should our students not enroll within one year of their graduation, UNL/CBA may use their discretion in accepting the waiver of minimum computer proficiency as noted on the student's high school transcripts. We understand that if the above mentioned criteria are met, UNL/CBA will not require successful juniors and seniors to pay a testing fee, enroll in, or file any other paperwork to complete the Business Administration 150 requirement for pursuit of a degree.

We agree that we are to administer all four exams at our school site in an appropriate, supervised testing environment ensuring no auxiliary help, instructional materials, nor additional time to complete the exams.Students can only take each exam once.

We agree that it is the responsibility of the administering educator at the high school to ensure the students' official high school transcript is notated with the following language as verification of successful completion of the administered exams: CBA BusCmpAppl Grade "S" or "P" (satisfactory or pass) for No Credit. We understand that failure of the school to provide the appropriate notation on the student's transcript will terminate the school's participation in the program and will void the student's waiver of the BSAD150 course.

We agree that it is our responsibility to report pass/no pass statistics for all four exams using the Business Administration 150 website. All information reported will be treated with confidentiality, and no names, I.D. numbers, or other personal identifying information will be included as part of the statistical data.

We agree to have our name and high school name posted to the Nebraska High Schools website as part of the list of schools participating in this cooperative Waiver Program.

We understand that exams may be updated periodically, and that listed representatives will be notified accordingly.

We agree to notify UNL-CBA if we are no longer interested in participating in this cooperative Waiver Program.
